Unit 10

What advice would you now give to someone writing his/her first scientific paper?
My advice is to choose a good topic one that interests you so you don't get bored or frustrated when writing your paper. Also, turn it in to the writing center well before it's due so you can make the proper adjustments based on the feedback you get.

•         What areas do you feel you strengthened in the past 10 weeks?

I honestly do not feel I strengthened any areas.

•         What areas do you feel still need improvement in regards to writing?

All areas especially citations. It is so hard, I still can not understand how to do proper citations.

•         Any final thoughts or statements to make before we wrap up?

Unit 9

With your paper done or almost done, how do you feel

•         Do you feel nervous, accomplished, or just plain tired?

I'm two out of the three, nervous and tired! I'm glad it's almost over but nervous about the overall outcome like the grade I will end up with.

•         How do you feel about writing at this point? Has your idea of writing changed throughout the course?

 I feel the same as I did when I took Comp I about writing...I still don't like it and struggle with it. It's not exciting like medical terminology or something like that but it's required.

•         What other topics would you like to research?

I personally do not have any other topics that I would like to research but that's just me.

Unit 8

For the past few weeks, I've been dealing with a very sick child. She developed an upper respiratory infection along with a mild case of conjunctivitis (pink eye), that is highly contagious! I tried my very best to keep things clean b/c I am a very clean person but I got everything she had...doubled! I got the flu and conjunctivitis in both my eyes! So I could not work, I just moved at the end of the year so my rent is higher and I'm literally scrambling trying to keep my head above water academically and this term is nearly over! How have things been going for everyone else? Take care everyone and beef up on your vitamins, especially your C's so you don't get sick this time of season!

Unit 8

Discuss any issues you have had throughout the process.
Well I've fallen behind just recently, with the change of weather my daughter has been sick and we both came down with the flu! Fortunately, I was off from my day job but I didn't have the energy to do much except try to take care of my daughter and help her get better.

•         How do you feel about the comments, or lack of comments, that have been made to your blog posts?

Honestly, I've just been trying to make sure I do the blog posting.

•         Do you plan to continue your blog even after the course?

I've never seen the point academically or much less in general so I will not be blogging after this course. During the course of my program if it is required that is the only reason for me to blog.
